I purchased the HV-9C, (C for chrome, it is made in black as well) about two years ago. It has been a great fan so far. I have had it turned on low all this time, (except for cleaning) and had not a bit of problem out of it. I needed a fan to use in a small extra bedroom (10x12) just to keep the air circulating and create a little bit of white noise. This fan does all that and it was the right price for me.

A local store had several fans out on display (running) and the HV-9C by Lakewood sounded nice and quiet. I didn't ever remember hearing of Lakewood before, but they say they have been in business for sixty years. I see why, my fan is built well and I expect it to last for many years.

I do clean it every now and then. I just vacuum the dust out of the grill and start it back up. I imagine one day it may need a bit of fan oil like some of my other fans but for now it is fine.

The HV-9C does just what you want a fan for, move air, but maybe just a bit better than most of the others out there.

This product was also sold in Walmarts about two years ago. These are powerful, all metal fans. On high they move a surprising amount of air, but they also generate some wind noise. You will need a screwdriver to take the fan apart to clean it, but they are COMPLETELY worth it. At my job the company has no ability to run decent HVAC systems. It is either 62 or 80 degrees. Everyone has heaters and fans. During the summer it go very bad and I ended up bringing three of these in to work because people couldn't believe how powerful they were and they fit on desks.

I've bought 7 of them for myself and others. Some have been running for the last two years without failures. I even use them during the winter against the radiators to evenly distribute heat around a big living room.

This was my first purchase of Thorlo socks. I was hesitant at first because of the cost, but based on the reviews, I decided to try them. After a few wears and washings, I can say I'm pleased with my purchase. They have very good cushion and are comfortable. The reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because they are very slippery compared to my cheap cotton socks. I notice the slipperiness coming down stairs or on tile floor. But other than that, I think they are good quality socks. I guess we'll see how they last compared to the Nike Dry-Fit socks which are only $5/pr.

My husband and I have been Thorlo sock wearing folks for a LONG time. 60 miles in 3 days, numerous 1/2 marathons, and many years of thorlos. The extra padding on the heal, toe and top of my feet save my feet from many disasters and incidents. One MUST wash these they way they were intended: inside OUT, and with fabric softener (not those sheet in the dryer stuff either) You'll get years out of them if you treat them right. For the price, though pricey, they have certainly saved my feet from the doctor visits, and worth every penny. I am a shopper when it comes to price/quality, with Thorlo you get what you pay for..............top notch products, that last literally years. Thanks Thorlo, don't every stop producing these, please. My family loves them, from the Military, to marathons, golfing, hiking,from AZ to AK we do it all, with your socks.

Before purchasing this product, I scoured the internet for other people's reviews via beauty blogs and practically every women raved about this product. It's particularly popular in Japan and is marketed to Asian women who want to achieve sleek and healthy hair--who doesn't right? The Tsubaki white line is for color-treated/damaged hair. First off, this set is a GREAT deal esp. since I visited a Japanese store and sold separately, it's 16.99 each. So, kudos to such a great bargain. Secondly, I normally have super oily hair and after years of using other high-end American products (Biolage, Matrix, Abba, etc), I was fed up. The first time I used this product, I instantly noticed that my hair felt lighter (nearly weightless) and healthier. I thought it was my own self-fulfilling prophecy until now. I've been using this for nearly a month and everytime, my hair just gets more stunning. I usually shampoo every other day, and on the days I don't I haven't noticed any heavy product residue from the conditioner. Before this product, conditioners would usually be too rich for my hair and eventually end up weighing it down. This isn't the case with Shiseido Tsubaki. My only concern is that I may have to switch it up since my hair is prone to getting used to a certain shampoo and then it won't work as effectively. I may just alternate with the Tsubaki Red line--obviously, Shiseido knows what they're doing. I'm a believer!

But from what my hair stylist tells me, my hair is still very healthy... maybe too healthy for this set. I've been using the shampoo and conditioner for a month now every two days. I've noticed that my hair is a bit flatter lately; maybe it's being over-moisturized. This set would probably work out well for extremely dry/damaged hair. The scent is nice, though.

ViewSonic VX2239WM Review by evoII

After doing some research I chose the Viewsonic VX2239WM mainly for playing my PS3 through. One thing that annoyed me is the product description said it had a 4port USB hub, WRONG it has no USB ports at all. Annoying but I can still access USB through the PS3 for hard drive cached movies. Another thing that would greatly improve this item would be a remote control. Not necessary if using as a computer monitor, but if using for movies or gaming better volume controls would be nice. Apart from these flaws it is an excellent monitor with great picture quality. And the shipping was quick and free. A great buy for the price.

There is very slight bleeding-edge, but I still give this 5 stars just for the overall quality and price. 1080p on a nice sized monitor that I can easily switch to DVI for my PC or back to the HDMI for PS3. I have no complaints, I'm glad I grabbed it while it was still $160. It's a great deal, if you don't need a humongous screen.

I was very excited about this product when I bought it - the idea of steaming and blending the food in one gadget seemed like a big time saver. However, it's not nearly as much of a time saver as it seems. The bowl is tiny, so to make enough food for just 2 days or so, I had to fill the bowl at least twice to steam the veggies(and that's about 10-15 min of steaming each time). An average-sized cauliflower took me 3 steaming session to get through, so that's almost an hour of steaming. Then the blending... unfortunately, this product is not nearly powerful enough to blend veggies quickly. Even with adding a lot of water, the food seems to get stuck and the blades are just blending what's on the bottom of the bowl and not moving the food around at all. You also can't move the food around without taking apart the whole contraption - likely because of it's baby-proof design. Several times already I ended up pulling out a regular blended and transferring the veggies to finish blending them. I've now given up on this disappointing product and will have to return it. I'm hoping that a regular-sized food processor and a steamer will do the trick in a lot less time and with much less effort.

This works wonderfully! Put food in basket, steam, dump food in blender, blend. So simple. So easy to clean up afterward. I can make many foods in one morning, so my baby gets variety. It makes about 6 or so ounces at a time, filling one freezer tray. I think this is good so that I don't have mounds of one vegetable in the freezer. It makes it easy to keep variety in Baby's diet. I have had the gasket leak BUT that was because I had it on upside down! Flipped it over, no problem anymore! I definitely recommend this cooker!

I bought this waffle iron to get away from Teflon, which I consider a health threat. After putting the iron through a very thorough seasoning process, I thought I was all ready to make perfect waffles on my gas stove. Instead, I ended up with a huge mess! I tried again at least a dozen times, carefully cleaning out the previous mess each time, experimenting with various kinds and amounts of cooking oil and shortening and with various levels of heat. I even went through the seasoning process again. Nothing worked. The result was always a huge mess. Finally I resigned myself to the fact that the kind of waffle I wanted to make was just not possible with this waffle iron. Evidently most people find that it works well enough for standard unhealthy waffles (basically wheat flour), but I make waffles with all sorts of unusual ingredients like buckwheat flour, rice flour, hazelnut meal, coconut flour, and ground flax seed. Only a Teflon waffler seems to be able to handle that kind of waffle. Guess I'll just have to live with Teflon -- although I keep hoping someone will figure out a way to make a ceramic-coated waffler. BTW, the Rome waffler sat in a cabinet for about a year, and then my wife carted it off to the Salvation Army donation bin.

This cast iron waffle iron works well. I seasoned it with old corn oil on the stove top...it took me about 2 days to do this until I had a nice shiny black surface on the inside. If you had time you could do it in one day.
I've used it three times now. I find my first waffle ends up sticking a bit (doesn't that happen with all waffle irons?), but the next ones come out good. It's a bit of a trial-and-error process figuring out how long to cook each side. About 2 mins. on medium heat seems to work for me...
Good iron for the price. Too bad Rome didn't make it in the USA. Americans need to do something with their hands.

Early Learning Centre 30059 Review by J. Dyer "Julzcoug" (Encinitas, CA)

I purchased this table for my sons 1st bday. It's a fun looking table and the quality is good! My son really started to enjoy it at 16 months. At this age he understands all the gadgets and will spend 20 minutes playing with it by himself! I'm glad we purchased this and I would buy again!

Love this little table. I took my daughter to a local toy boutique and saw this table (of course everything is price high at these cute boutiques - the table was $90.00 - even the floor model was $75.00!). My daughter already loves toy balls and went straight for this table. As you can see from the picture there are several activities: three slots to push balls through by hand or pound through their holes using the plastic mallet, two gears that spin around with a small knob, a tall funnel-type tube that the child can place the ball in. When my daughter tried to put the ball into the funnel-tube she yelled right away when the ball wouldn't fall right out the bottom...then she discovered she had to push the oversized button next to it to 'flush' the ball the rest of the way down the tube. So what might not initially seem to be a learning toy - turned out to teach her about buttons, gears, and even ramps (there's also a ramp that the child can put the ball into and watch it go down the ramp and come out under the table!). Of course with all toys - anything grows 'old' after awhile but she sure has fun and comes back to this one. :)
